The sports ministry has slashed bonus package for Ghana’s AFCON players by about 50%.
According to local reports, the Sports Ministry has considerably reduced the winning bonus package for Ghana’s players at the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
The players would now receive the reduced amount of $5,000 instead of $10,000.
Each player, under the new proposal, will obtain a salary of $5,000 per game.
Furthermore, there will be a reward of $60,000 for the squad, if they win the tournament in Equatorial Guinea.
Officials of the team which include management committee members will get 30% of the player’s earning.
