British carrier British airways has indicated that it will offer 25 percent discount to small and medium enterprises across Ghana in a move that is geared towards improving the businesses cooperation between Ghana ,Europe and Americas . The promotion will end today and it is to mark the independence day of Ghana. The country commercial manager Mr. Kevin Leung indicated that the airline was keen on promoting the local investors and the growth of Ghanaian economy through diversification of service and exchange of ideas across the globe. British airways is focused on reducing the budget expenditure especially in terms of how much the airlines will pay in travel fees.
The airline has indicated that it wills something to the small and medium enterprises in a bid to boost investment in the country. Unlike multinational corporations that could leverage their purchasing power to negotiate better deals, the small businesses have limited scope to stretch their expenditure hence the need to support them. The manager said that huge amounts of regional, international, and domestic travel accounted to a huge budget for the small and medium enterprises in the country. He indicated that the airline was focusing on improving the financial position of the small and medium enterprises in the country.
With flexibility at hand, the smaller companies have a means of looking at the best current deal and incorporate their expenditure to cover the current market. Reports indicate that most businesses have made use of the move and they will continue to strive to promote the local Ghanaian economy with further deals.
